First Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR) : It is global leader in developing solar energy solutions. It designs, manufactures solar power systems and solar modules. It utilizes a thin film semiconductor technology to manufacture electricity-producing solar panels from cadmium telluride. First Solar not only manufactures and sells solar modules, but also designs, constructs, and sells solar power systems and provides operations and maintenance services.

Sunrun Inc. (NASDAQ: RUN) : With the acquisition of Vivint Solar, Sunrun is now the unquestioned king of the U.S. solar market. Vivint Solar Inc. is a residential solar energy provider that designs, installs, and maintains photovoltaic systems. It is a provider of residential solar electricity. Plug Power (NASDAQ: PLUG) : It is a hydrogen supplier. It bought two hydrogen companies, United Hydrogen Group and Giner ELX. United Hydrogen operates a plant Tennessee that can produce 6.4 tons of hydrogen per day, with a plan to increase that to 10 tons.

SolarWindow Technologies (OTCMKTS: WNDW) : Its product is a liquid capable of creating an electric charge when applied to glass or plastic. Charge is harvested by a grid of tiny wires, each thinner than a human hair.

JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd. (NYSE: JKS) : It is a China-based solar energy company that manufactures solar products including silicon wafers, solar cells, and solar modules. The company also offers solar system integration services.

Daqo New Energy Corp. (NYSE: DQ) : It is a Chinese company engaged in the manufacture of monocrystalline silicon (mono-Si) and polysilicon (poly-Si), primarily for use in solar photovoltaic systems.[3] The company operates a mono-Si and poly-Si manufacturing facility located in Shihezi, Xinjiang Province, China.
