Nucor Corporation (NYSE: NUE) American Steel company. It is the largest producer of steel and related products in the United States. It is the largest mini-mill steelmaker (electric arc furnaces to melt scrap steel). It is the biggest recycler of scrap in North America. It produces steel bars (carbon and alloy steel), beams, sheets/flat rolled steel, plates, steel joists, joist girders, steel decks, fabricated concrete reinforcing steel, cold finished steel, steel fasteners, metal building systems, light gauge steel framing, steel grating, expanded metal, and wire mesh. In 1897, Olds Motor Vehicle Company was founded (the company later became Oldsmobile, part of General Motors Corporation). In 1905, REO Motor Car Company was founded. In 1955, REO took over a tiny nuclear services company called Nuclear Consultants, Inc. renamed it Nuclear Corporation of America Inc..
